Chelsea College of Arts
UAL: Chelsea College of Arts invited us to run a live industry project with their third-year students of the BA Graphic Design Communication course. The brief encouraged the students to explore their own side hustles. Ideas that grew directly from their own personal passion and their own life experiences. Giving them a platform where they have total creative freedom.
The project was an entrepreneurial challenge and a chance for them to figure out what makes them different and what they can offer that others can’t. Giving them an opportunity to develop their own voice in design, and truly express themselves in a world where we often feel the need to blend in. But most importantly we encouraged them to make mistakes and have fun!
Their outputs were informed by their own lives and observations, with the aim that the ideas they generated felt unique to them.
