French pastoral fabric
Dior’s toile de Jouy is a signature reimagining of an 18th-century French pastoral fabric, famously adopted by Christian Dior in 1947 to decorate his first boutique. The print, characterised by detailed, monochromatic scenes, was modernised by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the fashion house, transforming it from a traditional interior textile into a staple for handbags, clothing, and home accessories.
