WHY YOU'LL LOVE OUR BATS

Once, ping pong bats were red and black paddles that rarely left the games cupboard.

Today’s players are looking for something with more personality: objects that reflect their taste and stand proudly in their homes.

We’ve reimagined the bat as a miniature canvas — a playable artwork that’s as fun to rally with as it is to display.

Whether hung on the wall or swung across the table, an ArtBat is both a design statement and a call to play.

Play with personality. Collect with purpose.

WHERE ART BECOMES PLAY

A UNIQUE FUSION OF ART AND PLAY

A UNIQUE FUSION OF ART AND PLAY

Our exclusive collection of designer table tennis bats is not just about the game; it’s a celebration of artistic expression.

Made from Ayous and Populus wood and air-dried natural rubber, each ArtBat turns every game into an exhibit of style and flair. Whether you’re a table tennis enthusiast or an art aficionado, our ArtBats offer a unique way to combine your passions.

MEET ANDRE

We had the pleasure of spending an evening with André whilst photographing his collection at his hotel in Paris. So we asked him a few questions about our collaboration.

AoPP: What inspired you to collaborate with the Art of Ping Pong?

Andre: My good friend Sarah Andelman from the legendary store Colette called me and said that I should collaborate with you. And since I'm a big fan of ping pong, it had to be a yes!

AoPP: The appetite for art collectables is clear, and you’ve been at the forefront of this for sometime. AoPP’s pieces are not only collectibles but also designed to spark connection and play—something the world could use more of right now. You’ve brought your art into hotels and clubs to foster connection, but how does it feel to take this collaboration a step further, into play as well as art?

Andre: For me, art and play are inseparable. Bringing people together in spaces has always been a core part of my work. I think of hotels and clubs as art pieces, just like subways, trains, or walls—they’re all canvases for sharing Mr. A as he travels. That’s at the heart of my graffiti philosophy: whether it’s a train, a t-shirt, or even ping pong balls, it’s all about spreading the idea of my art across the globe.

AoPP: Your Mr. A character has appeared in so many different forms and styles now. Is this the most unique?

Andre: It’s the first time I’ve designed for a ping pong table, which makes this edition truly one of a kind. Working with Art of Ping Pong has given me complete creative freedom—I could explore almost anything I wanted. Their approach is the perfect balance of playfulness and artistry, making them an ideal partner for this collaboration. The result feels like a perfect intersection of art and fun, something that’s both visually striking and made to be enjoyed.

FAQs

They look so cool – can you actually play ping pong with them?

Absolutely! Being a ping pong fanatic, our founder would never have created a bat that compromised the game itself.

All the materials used are of the highest quality, and the carefully screen-printed rubber allows for great playability. Resulting in a great balance of art and table tennis excellence.

I want to send one as a gift – how is it packaged?

We love that people gift our products and have made sure our packaging means you can send it directly to the lucky receiver and not even need to wrap it yourself.  We often get emails from customers letting us know how joyful their order is to open.

Each ArtBat or ArtBat set comes in an Art of Ping Pong branded linen bag wrapped in AoPP branded presentation tissue paper.

Being a small team means we are also able to add handwritten notes, so if you would like us to do that for you, please get in touch at marley@theartofpingpong.co.uk

I’m trying to be more eco-conscious – could you let me know more about the materials used?

We use responsibly sourced, sustainable wood and air-dried natural rubber to create a harmonious blend of performance and eco-consciousness. The wood used is FSC-certified and all materials have passed the ISO 9001 environmental tests.

Even our branded linen bags are something we are proud of. Our supplier is based in India and is an award-winning factory that is Fairtrade accredited, has an 80%+ women workforce, and uses sustainable manufacturing methods to reduce waste in water, energy, and materials.
